vintage at heart officially opened its doors during the holiday season of 2006.  The idea came while sipping a great glass of wine while visiting Yountville, CA on a girl’s trip with my sister and girlfriends.  I soon shared my thoughts with my darling husband-who always says “don’t bring anymore of that old junk home or anything that I have to fix.”  To my surprise he thought it was a great idea and said sure. Wow where did that come from? Off went the acrylic nails and I soon began sanding and finishing my spent wine barrel serving pieces. I could not do it without the help from my family. Mom and Dad which live close by are available from time to time to give a hand!
What originally started out “in the garage” for a stay at home mom with 5 kids, which includes a set of triplets, has now become a full time business.  What was once a box with 20 wine cask heads has now become multi shipments of retired wine barrels that are hand selected for that one of a kind piece. These recycled eco friendly wine barrel staves and heads will transform your table scape, wine room or any other place just as they did in the transformation of grapes into a fine wine.  All of my pieces are perfect for the wine lover, antique lover, your hill country home or condo in the mountains.
I soon learned that I wasn't going be able to continue on without help. The kids were still helping, but it was time to move on and hire more employees to put the never ending ideas into action.  Now the crew is busy at work bringing you more one of a kind pieces.
